UNESCO declared the Historic Center of Florence as a World Heritage Site. Renaissance Art can be seen in the architecture of the monuments in Florence. Art Galleries like Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi, wield considerable influence in the field of Art and culture even today.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following are the famous monuments\u00a0 located in Florence<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h4>Palazzo Vecchio<\/h4>\n<p>Built by Arnolfo di Cambio, Palazzo Vecchio is one of the most significant monuments in Florence. He was considered to be the most celebrated architect of his times. It had a Gothic architecture and covered in colored marble.<br \/>\nMany sculptures can be found in the Museum \u2018Opera del Duomo\u2019 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The beautiful stained-glass windows and wooden inlays on the Sacristy cupboards designed by great artists such as Antonio Del Pollaiolo, Brunelleschi, etc., can still be seen in the Cathedral<\/span>.<br \/>\nThe Cupola- This surprisingly modern dome can be seen distinctively against the Florentine Skyline. The Cupola was built by Filippo Brunelleschi, who started its construction in 1420. Brunelleschi used his knowledge of Roman architecture and developed a unique technique, which he used in the construction of this monument.<br \/>\nThe ceiling of the Cupola has the painting of the Last Judgement, which was painted by Giorgio Vasari and later completed by Federico Zuccari.<\/p>\n<h4>Palazzo Pitti<\/h4>\n<p>Luca Pitti got this magnificent palace built to flaunt in front of the Family of Medici, but the palace fell into the hands of the Family of Medici when misfortune struck the Pitti family. Palazzo Pitti became the Medici family residence and was enlarged by Bartolomeo Ammannati, who also designed its famous Boboli Gardens. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today the Pitti Palace holds some famous Florentine Museums and Art Galleries<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4177\" src=\"https:\/\/www.istitutoitaliano.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/letter-editor1-1024x581.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"363\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.istitutoitaliano.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/letter-editor1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.istitutoitaliano.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/letter-editor1-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.istitutoitaliano.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/letter-editor1-150x85.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.istitutoitaliano.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/letter-editor1-80x45.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Basilica of San Lorenzo<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Basilica was designed and built in Roman style by Brunelleschi<\/span>. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the left side of the Basilica there is the Laurentian Library which holds the Medici family collection of the books and manuscripts. The library was designed by Michelangelo<\/span>.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Cappelle Medicee- This Church belonged to the Medici Family and later became their mausoleu<\/span>m.<\/p>\n<h4>San Miniato Al Monte<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is\u00a0 another beautiful church in Tuscan and Roman styles<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Florence never fails to amaze tourists who throng the place the year around.
